Tony Colarusso, Managing Partner

Tony is the Managing Partner of FoxPath Capital Partners, responsible for overall firm and investment oversight. He has over 23 years of experience working in private markets including private equity, leveraged finance, GP-led secondaries, mergers & acquisitions, and legal advisory. Prior to founding FoxPath, Tony spent the bulk of his career at Morgan Stanley, most recently as the Global Head of Private Capital Advisory, where he created, built and led the firm’s first secondaries advisory team. He has worked extensively on structuring and financing sponsor backed leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations, having completed more than 200 successful transactions totaling over $300bn of aggregate value. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked in the Leveraged Finance group at Lehman Brothers and practiced corporate M&A and securities law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He serves as a Senior Advisor to FalconPoint Partners, a private equity firm based in New York. Tony received a B.A., with honors, from Vanderbilt University and a J.D., with honors, from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an editor of the Law Review.

Brian Laureano, CFA​, Chief Investment Officer

Brian is a Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of FoxPath Capital Partners, responsible for originating, underwriting, executing and managing fund investments. Brian is well regarded across the industry as one of the pioneers of the institutional credit secondaries market. Prior to FoxPath, Brian founded the credit secondary strategy (S3 Credit Solutions) at Apollo Global Management where he led deal underwriting, execution and business development. Prior to founding the credit secondary business, Brian was an Investment Principal in Apollo’s Corporate Credit business, where he accumulated experience investing on behalf its direct lending, syndicated corporate credit and opportunistic mandates. Brian also previously worked in the Investment Banking and Corporate Finance Advisory divisions at Wells Fargo and Royal Bank of Scotland, respectively. Brian graduated with a B.S. in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Connecticut. Brian is a CFA Charterholder, a PEI NextGen Secondaries Leader inductee and a member of the Endowment Investment Committee for Fiver Children’s Foundation.

Alex Truss​, Principal

Alex is a Principal of FoxPath Capital Partners, responsible for underwriting and managing fund investments, as well as supporting ongoing business development activities of the firm. Prior to FoxPath, Alex helped build the credit secondary effort (S3 Credit Solutions) at Apollo Global Management, where he was a founding member and the second employee dedicated to the strategy. Prior to Apollo, Alex worked at Jefferies Finance LLC, a multi-billion AUM leveraged loan investor across direct lending and syndicated loan business lines. At Jefferies Finance, Alex was a founding member of Jefferies Credit Partners, the firm’s asset management arm focused on large and mid-cap direct lending strategies. Across his time at Apollo and Jefferies Credit Partners, Alex garnered experience investing across credit secondaries, direct lending and performing credit strategies. Alex graduated with a BSBA in Finance and Marketing from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.

Ben Forster, Vice President

Ben is a Vice President of FoxPath Capital Partners, responsible for underwriting and managing fund investments, as well as supporting ongoing business development activities of the firm. Prior to joining FoxPath, Ben was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs within the Asset Management Division (formerly the Merchant Bank). Ben began his time in Goldman Sachs Asset Management in the Private Credit Group, focused on underwriting sponsor-backed financings across industries on behalf of the firm’s senior and mezzanine private credit funds. Subsequently, he was a member of the Alternatives Capital Markets and Strategy group, where he was responsible for syndicating private credit co-investments globally to Goldman Sachs’ institutional limited partners. Ben began his career in the Investment Banking divisions at Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs, respectively, covering the Industrials sector. Ben graduated with a BBA in Finance, Investment and Banking with Distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
